Sunday, February 11, 2018 9:30 am in the Parish Hall Children's and Youth Ministries invites you to join us for food, fellowship, and frivolity! The menu will include pancakes with all the trimmings, sausage, juice, and coffee. The cost is $5 per person with a $20 family max. Click here to register. What is Shrove Tuesday? Shrove Tuesday, also known as "fat" Tuesday, is the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday which is the beginning of the season of Lent. Since fat is traditionally not used in cooking during Lent thrifty housewives would use up any left over fats on the day before Ash Wednesday. As the making of pancakes is a standard way of using fat a tradition was born.
