Advent Wreath Making & Spaghetti Dinner

On Sunday, November 27th you are invited to create a beautiful Advent wreath to take home to celebrate the season.

Wreath kits may be purchased at a cost of $15. This years kit includes a floral bowl, Oasis floral foam, candles, and various wreath decorations. (Please note we will not be using the wire wreath frames as in years past.)

We encourage everyone to bring greenery from their own yards.

You may bring your own wreath frame and purchase the other materials for $10 for a kit without the floral bowl and foam. Each participant will also receive an Advent booklet with prayers to use at home.

More about the Advent Wreath

The lighting of the Advent wreath is a wonderful way to journey through this season of preparation and expectation. The Advent wreath is a Christian tradition that marks the passage through Advent. Beginning with the First Sunday of Advent, the lighting of a candle can be accompanied by a Bible reading and prayers. An additional candle is lit during each subsequent week until, by the last Sunday before Christmas, all four candles are lit. Many Advent wreaths include a fifth, Christ candle which is lit at Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
