Youth Outreach Project: Thanksgiving Food Drive for the Emmaus House

Each November, Emmaus House sponsors a Thanksgiving at Home program for our neighbors in Peoplestown. The Emmaus House provides 350 households with turkeys and groceries so that they may have a Thanksgiving meal to prepare and enjoy at home. We need donations of bags filled with ingredients to make Thanksgiving side dishes. Each bag should contain the following:

• 2 Cans of String Beans (English cut)

• 2 Cans of Corn

• 2 Cans of Peas

• 1 Can of Cranberry Sauce

• 2 Boxes of Muffin Mix

• 1 Large Bag of Stuffing

• 1 Box of Brownie Mix

• 1 Bag of Rice (1 lb.)

Please place all of the sides for each household into a brown paper bag with handles. For more information about the Emmaus House, please visit emmaushouseatlanta.org. Thank you so much for donating this holiday season! We couldn’t do it without you. Please deliver bags of sides to St. Benedict’s by Sunday, Nov. 13th. (Bags can be bought to the church office during the week or placed in the back of the nave (under the table to the left on Sunday mornings.)
