1. I belong to the Women’s Bible Study, Pastoral Care and in a near future Path to Shine.
2. I am there to help as much as I can.

Taylor Stukes
1. I attend and often assist with the 8:00 am service. My wife Kelly and I have coordinated St B's monthly participation with Church of the Common Ground.
2. My motorcycle has taken me to sixteen towns in the US named Atlanta.
3. Jesus is the voice in my soul reminding me that everyone wants a smile, love, and approval. These days, I hear him more often than in the past.
4. Confirmation as an Episcopalian is another step in my return to the Church. As I become more active at St Benedict's, understanding the heritage and liturgy of the Episcopal denomination is important to me.

1. I sit in the back right near the area that Scot and Annie Offen and Ann and Kent Canipe sit at the 10:30 service.
2. I am a licensed Broker and Auctioneer in AL, GA, and FL. I am a member of The Smyrna Rotary Club and the Smyrna American Legion.I moved here 5 years ago from Panama City, FL.
3. My Savior, My Comfort, My source of Strength and Support each day.
4. To become a vested member of Saint Benedicts and the Episcopal Church.

Greg Stevens
1. My wife, Christie, and I typically attend the 10:30am service and sit on the left hand side, halfway down, on the main aisle. At St. Benedicts, Christie and I normally attend adult formation and I help out with the school backpacks and Angel Tree projects. I am also a new member of the Vestry this year.
2. My religious background is quite varied. I was raised in Ohio in the Baptist church. In college, I regularly attended the Catholic church. As an adult I attended the Episcopal church (St. Patrick’s, St. Anne’s, and St. Dunstan’s in the Atlanta area) and the Methodist church for the first few years that Christie and I were married.
3. Jesus is a lot of things for me. He is my teacher and my guide for how I should live my life. Jesus also makes God more real to me. Jesus is also my foundation for the rest of this life as well as the next life.
4. My hope is that this reception serves as another step in my greater involvement in the parish life of St. Benedict’s. It also signifies my commitment to make St. Benedict’s my spiritual home for a long time to come.

1. I'm very involved with Path to Shine - as the leader of our Norton Park group and as current chair of the Path to Shine board. In normal times Greg and I attend the 10:30 service and sit about halfway back on the left on the "Gospel side".
2. I was raised in the Baptist church and in my 20s started attending the Methodist church. Greg and I wanted a church close to home where we could be involved. When we walked through the doors at St. Benedict's nine years ago we knew we were home.
3. I was raised in the church and don't have a memory of not knowing Jesus. I can't imagine going through the uncertainty and isolation of the pandemic without Him.
4. I'm seeking to strengthen and deepen the relationship with my St. Benedict's family.

1. You can see me most Sundays for outdoor worship and on Zoom for adult formation and for Compline. I’m also a member of Daughters of the King and a small group leader.
2. I feel like St. Benedict’s is one of the greatest blessings in my life. Not only am I a part of a strong body of like-minded believers which has helped me grow in my walk with Christ, but I am also blessed to be connected in friendship with so many of my fellow parishioners.
3. Jesus is my rock and strength no matter what challenges life brings.
4. I am excited to officially be a member of the Episcopal Church.

1. I'm active in Adult Formation on Sunday mornings, in Compline 2-3 times a week, and in the in-person service most Sundays. Once church groups are able to meet in person again, I'll be heading up Sons of Benedict, which is the men's group.
2. My Christian faith is mature and has deep roots in my family. I've been an active member of every church (predominantly Methodist and Presbyterian) that I've been involved in, and my social group is typically centered on church.
3. This can't be answered simply, but I have always felt like Jesus was with me, as hokey as that sounds. I haven't had a Damascus Road experience and I don't consider myself reborn. I was raised in the arms of Jesus and I remain there.
4. Jenny and I knew pretty soon after attending St. Benedict's that we belonged in both that parish and the Episcopal church. We were welcomed with open arms and our beliefs mirror those of the church. I feel our reception by the bishop will make it official, and I'm eager for that to happen.

1. Pre-COVID, you could always find my family sitting towards the side with our loud, energetic kids! I am on the vestry and I lead the Moms Bible Study.
2. I won the Bible Bowl competition when I was in 6th grade for our city! It was intense and I studied quite a bit for it. Now I have to rely on the table of contents to help me find the books of the bible!
3. Peace and comfort during challenging days. A connector to family, past and future generations.
4. While St. Benedict's has made me feel welcome and a part of the church from day 1, being confirmed will make me an official Episcopalian!

Glenda Underwood
1. I have played piano for services and helped with flowers. We are continuing our Bible study with the leadership of Phyllis Seitz who is undoubtedly one of God’s finest natural resources for St. B’s. I’ve taught several lessons and love these devoted group members.
I sit where there is a space, sometimes with a known friend and sometimes with a potentially new one.
2. I’m originally from Clinton, NC. Double majored in elementary Ed ( at that time certification was K-8), taught 1 year in Chesapeake, VA, 3 in Durham, NC, 30 at The Benjamin School in NPB, FL, returned to NC in 2005 and taught high school English and World history for 6 years. Ancient/Medieval is my favorite. I have two grown children and 3 grand grands. I am widowed.
I hope to continue in music, to join Daughters (had lunch with Verdery yesterday who could undoubtedly sell car warranties to the Amish), and review other opportunities as they develop.
For 95% of my life I have been a Presbyterian. Moving to Atlanta meant finding a new church but those visited seemed either too fundamental, too far away for active participation, or too large and uncomfortable. So I came to St B’s. So much of the service was strange, yet the enthusiasm of participation by Claiborne and the congregation was encouraging. When it came time to share the peace everything fell into place; the exchanges of peace came from the hearts to the eyes, and from the voices with the hope and promises passed by those who truly loved the Lord Christ. I wanted to be among you, to know, learn, and share.
I began with Edith’s women’s Bible study group. Fell in love again and deeper! Christmas a year ago I hosted a Christmas party at home for our group. My home was blessed by their presence. I missed this year because of Covid Christmas restrictions.
3. Where am I with Christ? I suppose he can be described as my best real imaginary friend. When I mumble or think in self conversation, it is with him. We laugh. I learn. He makes it possible for me to think through things, even when my decisions aren’t great. I feel his presence most when I obey.
4. I look forward to joining St. B’s because of the warmth and the collective spirit of its members. AND, I am eager to know you better!
