St. Benedict's Day

July 16, after the 10:30 service

St. Benedict's Day July 16, 2023 all parish worship _ 10_30 am, followed by food and fello

This year’s St. Benedict’s Day celebration is on July 16! To celebrate our patron saint’s feast day, food and fellowship await ― all under the big tent. The menu will include grilled hotdogs and beef and vegetarian hamburgers, along with sides, chips, desserts and beverages. Children’s activities will include a bounce house, face painting and balloon animals, and there will be a water balloon toss, giant Jenga and cornhole for everyone. We’ll only have one worship service that day, so be sure to join us after the 10:30 a.m. service. Attire is hot-weather picnic casual. Bring a smiling face, as a diocesan photographer will join us that day to capture some images of our common life!

Schedule:
9:30: Help assemble lunches for the Church of the Common Ground (Parish Hall)
10:30: ONE worship service, all together: Holy Eucharist with Holy Baptisms
Following Worship: Parish cookout and fellowship!

How to help:
You can help by signing up to bring food:

  • Cold side dishes (fruit, potato or pasta salad, slaw, etc.)

  • Chips

  • Canned drinks and bottled waters

  • Easy-to-eat desserts (cookies, brownies)

We also need equipment (fans, games, coolers), as well as volunteers for setup or breakdown. For all sign-ups, use the button below.

Watch for information later about our own St. Benedict’s music playlist.

And we’ll also roll out our new shared food pantry ministry with St. Jude’s that day– watch for a shopping list soon!
