Sharing the Christmas Spirit

There are a number of opportunities in December to share the Christmas Spirit.

December 2nd Holy Comforter Community Dinner

You are invited to participate in our next Holy Comforter Supper: Wednesday, December 2 at 5:30. All Are Welcome! There are opportunities to serve and have a meal with our friends at the Friendship Center, an inclusive community that promotes the mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing of adults marginalized by mental health challenges and by poverty. Or there are opportunities to prepare and donate food for the community meal. Contact Peggy Kessler or Betty Kidd to find out how to get involved.

Serving at the MUST Toy Shop We will serve at the Toy Shop on December 15th from 5-8:30pm at Fair Oaks United Methodist Church contact Ginny Parrino if you want to volunteer or you can sign up on the Dashboard. Children 12 and up can volunteer with a parent.

Last call, we need two more people to express interest in helping at the toy shop in the mornings from 9 am to 12:30 pm on a Monday or Wednesday. If you are interested in a daytime volunteer opportunity, please email Carol Kirshner.

Wrapping supplies and food donations needed for the luncheon. Please email Sandy if you would like to lend a hand.

Family Promise Hospitality December 27-January 3rd

Family Promise is a ministry of simple kindness. St. Benedict's partners with the Smyrna Church of the Nazarene to host homeless families for a week while they work to get back on their feet. Our next session will be after Christmas and over New Years. We need volunteers to provide food, spend the night and read to or play some board games with the children so that the adults can have a little time to themselves.
