SAFEGUARDING GOD'S CHILDREN

Safeguarding God's Children is a Diocesan program designed to give parishes the tools to protect children from abuse. The program is designed to educate parishes on how to spot the signs of child abuse, prevent situations where abuse may occur, and to create safe and loving environments for all of God's children.

Safeguarding God's Children training is required for all adults who volunteer with youth and children and all leadership roles within the parish. The course is required every three years and can either be completed in person or online, the online course does not currently include training surrounding LGBTQ+ youth, which is an aspect being integrated by the Diocese as an important part of the training.

For more information regarding Safeguarding God’s Children or to request access to the online training, email Ashley with “Safeguarding” in the subject line. Please check here for dates for in-person training.
